Operating Plan

Objectives:

1. To establish a profitable home-based business offering authentic Nigerian dishes to customers in the local community.

2. To provide high-quality, delicious meals that showcase the rich flavors and culinary traditions of Nigeria.

3. To build a loyal customer base and generate repeat business through exceptional food and service.

4. To operate efficiently and effectively, maximizing revenue while minimizing expenses.

5. To contribute to the growth and success of the business through continuous improvement and adaptation to customer preferences.

Goals:

1. Launch Date: Establish the business and begin operations by May 2024.

2. Customer Base: Attract a minimum of three customers per week within the first three months of operation, with a target of six customers per week by the end of the first year.

3. Revenue: Achieve monthly revenue of $1482 by the end of the first year, with a growth target of 95% annually thereafter.

4. Customer Satisfaction: Maintain a customer satisfaction rating of at least 99% based on feedback and reviews.

5. Expansion: Explore opportunities for expansion, such as catering services or partnerships with local events, by the end of the year.

Timelines:

1. Preparation and Planning: May 2024 – April 2027

  • Develop recipes, menu offerings, and pricing strategies.
  • Procure the necessary equipment, ingredients, and packaging materials.
  • Obtain the required permits and licenses for operating a food business from home.

2. Launch and Initial Operations: May 2024 (Ongoing)

  • Launch the business and start accepting orders from customers.
  • Establish operating hours and delivery/pick-up options.
  • Monitor and adjust operations based on customer feedback and demand.

3. Marketing and Promotion: Ongoing

  • Implement marketing strategies to increase awareness and attract new customers, including social media marketing, local advertising, and word-of-mouth referrals.
  • Offer promotions and discounts to incentivize repeat business and attract new customers.
